Blondes... more trouble than redheads? Empty Blondes... more trouble than redheads?

Dave made his way away from the house, once he knew Lili had come back... and with a member of the local Schutzstaffel. Somehow, he knew something had rang wrong about her story. Maybe it was the line about buying teh house and making improvements... no one buys houses in the middle of a warzone, for one. And in an area that had only become Jerry-infested too. Seeing that, he knew he was in bigger trouble than just being a downed pilot.

Too bad... she was a very pretty woman; then again, the ones who become collaborateur tended to be ones from a magazine. go figure.

*sigh*

Making his way to another house more to the outskirts of town that he had scouted, he pondered what he'd have to do next. Damn him for using his name and being suckered by a broad.... At least this house had no one to come back to- the previous residents having been dead for a few days judging by the condition he found their bodies. The empty Luger rounds scattered about were a good hint as to which side shot them too.

A search for Dave had begun. Unbeknownst to him, someone was on his tail, very well hidden and merely 30 minutes from catching up to their quarry.

Once Sam was satisfied that his quarry was inside, he found a safe place to render himself both visible and obfuscated to resemble himself in civilian clothes.

Entering the building he found the downed aviator and smiled.

"The uniform gets me places without question you know." His voice was very plainly American, as was the .45 automatic visible on his belt.

Dave whirled from what he was working on, revolver in hand. "That's nice, you wanna-be yank," He said in german. "Why is it I have great difficulty in believing you? Especially since your country is sitting this one out, eh?" Thumbing the hammer back, he continued. "The only Americans on this side of the pond are in England or Jerry's stoolies"

"And appearing out of nowhere is not exactly a friendly act..."
He finished in English english.

"Coming in from the street isn't exactly nowhere." he chuckled "And put that pea shooter down, they should have never dumped the .455 for that toy. And we ain't sitting this one out. Lend lease and all eh mate?"

Sam was smiling "Jerry can suck my enormous dick. He killed my father the first go round, and let's just say I'm back here for my revenge."

A slight smirk. "This Mark-Six is hardly a pea-shooter... its what good English Gentlemen carry while in the air... Yank pilots carry smaller," He replied quietly. "Smith and Wesson 38-Calibre, as I recall. When insulting a man's choice in hardware, you should learn to identify what he has, good sir. Especially when the weapon in question is pointed at you." A pause. "This 'pea-shooter', as you call it, was substantial enough to kill a pair of Jerries a week ago."

A pause. "I think a loud-mouth Schutzstaffel is within it's ability... So talk, good sir." Mason said. "Convince me that you are not what you appear to be and perhaps I won't shoot off your wanker, eh? Like who was the best pitcher on the '35 Red Sox..."

"A most unusual Yank," Dave replied. "One that does not follow sports... I would never have thought such a being could exist. Especially with the infamous George Ruth trade a few years before and all... Its still talked about over a decade later," A shake of the head. A democrat is a Democrat and he really has done somewhat well with leading the country- you must admit that much. Be that as it may, you are not being very convincing good sir.

Please try harder; I really do not want to make our blonde bombshell mad... especially in light of my getting away."
The grip on the revolver tightened. "Hell hath no fury and all that, my good man. Bad show that..."

A sigh. "And I was nearly convinced she meant well too..."

Sam stepped slightly to one side and rolled his eyes. "Yes, the Babe Ruth trade. So Boston lost a pitcher that became the greatest slugger ever known. Fascinating fill for the newspapers, but of little importance to me in the mines of Colorado. And Roosevelt is stepping past the boundaries the Constitution gives his office. He has been slapped down many times by the Supreme Court. He is little more than an American Socialist, but yes he is doing well at the moment. Lend Lease was a stroke of brilliance."

He smiled "I'm going to reach into my coat and show you something friend. Something that cannot exist and will not be known to exist, because it would violate many, many laws."

A nod. "Perhaps" He said as the pistol followed Sam's motion. "Please reach slowly, good sir. I can think of many things that violate many many laws... One would have been my uncle's whiskey mill in Saranac but as I recall, Prohibition was lifted in nineteen thirty-three. Still illegal, but only because he pays no taxes."

"Yes, the Noble Experiment was a bust" he observed dryly while slowly reaching into his pocket.

"Personally I think a whiskey still is of little harm, the Government makes no means for a man to readily make such goods legally, so they must be made somehow. If he harms nobody and puts out a quality product and feeds his family, few truly care what laws are broken. Unjust laws are easily trampled."

He smiled, and tossed a silver eagle and set of identity papers to the man.

"Suffice it to say, I am not here"

Sam staggered, and grabbed for his crotch, falling to the ground.

"You fucking bastard" he snarled "Put that fucker away before you hurt someone."

Rage and pain flashed in his eyes as he stared at the downed pilot.

The stare down from Sam was entirely intimidating to Dave... Majesty has been successfully activated.

"Sorry mate... but you asked for it, being SS and all. Do enjoy the bleed out, in an hour the sunlight should do wonders for the color..." Dave called as he put the weapon into a pocket. Spinning he ran for a rear exit, grabbing his bag as he left into the night as fast as his legs could carry him.
